I’m a professional wordsmith, which is to say I work with words throughout my career. I’ve written extensively in online and print media, from web content, blog posts, translation work, editing, ghostwriting, SEO copywriting, writing annual and sustainability reports for companies, and so forth. November 2023 – Present

I am the founder and editor in-chief of sekitarmaja.com, a new media website about the development of Maja (in Lebak regency, Banten) as a new city. Here is one of the articles that I wrote based on my interview with Andreas Harsono, an experienced journalist and human rights activist who co-founded Aliansi Jurnalis Independen and Yayasan Pantau: Andreas Harsono: “Dengan Pembangunan Berkesinambungan, Maja Bisa Menjadi Tempat Tinggal yang Lebih Baik dari Jakarta“.

May 2021 – November 2023

I was working as editor in-chief of Froyonion.com, a new blogging platform for Generation Z. I helped Froyonion build the website from scratch, built the writing team and editorial policies, managed the internal and external team (consisting of three in-house writers and more than 50 contributing writers/ freelance writers from a number of cities and towns throughout Indonesia). I also handled several advertorial projects coming from a number of famous brands/ public figures (singers, musicians, sportsmen) and a number of projects from Froyonion clients, such as P3I (Persatuan Perusahaan Periklanan Indonesia).

August 2018- August 2020

I actively got involved in Mozilla Indonesia Community and volunteered at Mozilla Space in South Jakarta. July 2018

I was writing as a freelancer for Tenaris Indonesia. Tenaris is a leading supplier of tubes and related services for the world’s energy industry and certain other industrial applications. March 2018

I wrote “Indonesia’s Top Foreign CEOs 2018” (a bilingual coffee table book). The book unravels enlightening business insights and human, personal, never-shared-before sides of prominent foreign CEOs in Indonesia.

December 2017 

I wrote and managed to publish an article based on an interview I conducted with Prof. Nurhayati Rahman, a female scholar who at the time was working on a long-term mega project of transliterating “La Galigo”, an ancient manuscript from South Sulawesi. This epic is even longer than “Gilgamesh”, one of the most renowned in the modern history. Magdalene.co published this article. November 2017

I landed a translation project under the LitRi Program in 2017. Obor Indonesia Foundation as the book copyright holder assigned the translation job to me. The book was published by Springer Publishing Company. The book is sold now via this link: A Guide to Tribes in Indonesia: Anthropological Insights from the Archipelago” (2020).

August 2017

I was working as freelance writer, reporter, translator, and editor for Art Republik Magazine (3rd edition). I interviewed some local and foreign artists and wrote articles based on the interviews.

April 2016

I worked as co-editor in the book writing project. I was involved in interviewing several sources who had in-depth knowledge on the local dog breed and finalizing the draft of the book. The book was published by Kesaint Blanc.

I was featured on Tabloid Nova as social media officer of the company founder’s social media presence: Twitter account @ciputraway (which I initiated in August 2010).
